Jojoba oil-miracle oil for chapped lips

Jojoba oil (Simmondsia chinensis) comes from the beans of a shrub like plant, which is native to southern Arizona, southern California, and northwestern Mexico. Mature jojoba plants are woody perennial bushes that don’t shed their leaves. Jojoba plants can take up to three years to produce flowers and the seeds look like coffee beans but are larger in shape.

Jojoba oil is wonderful for skin because it has absorption properties that are like our skin’s own sebum. Jojoba oil for the face and body is especially useful because it protects the skin, provides moisture, and soothes skin and hair. Jojoba is commonly used to treat acne, chapped skin, psoriasis, sunburn and it’s an effective skin moisturizer. A liquid plant wax, it’s bright and golden in color. Because Jojoba is a wax, not an oil, its shelf life and stability are considerably higher than most oils and rancidity is very rarely a concern.

Jojoba oil contains beneficial ingredients like vitamin E, vitamin B complex, silicon, chromium, copper, zinc and has a very high percentage of iodine which gives it power to heal. Jojoba oil is a safe and a natural ingredient for dry chapped lips that really work. Rich in fatty acids, jojoba oil is very beneficial for lip care. Full of oleic, lignoceric, and gondoic acid, it provides great hydration for the skin and can heal dry and chapped lips when applied on a regular basis. All-natural lip balm like Boarder’s Balm™ include jojoba oil as a key ingredient.

Don’t be afraid to experiment with your hair and skin products by adding a few drops of this beneficial ingredient. The recommended uses of jojoba oil according to Dr. Axe include:
